God is patient! What an attribute, and to think, I am called to share in it. I am called to have the kind of patience my Lord has. It seems impossible. We are finite. Time is not on our side. God, you wait patiently for all people you want to come to you. When will there be enough for you? When will you come and bring your Day on those who knew better and know better? Father, bring your kingdom! Don’t delay! Please! This lukewarm church that you will leave behind will be won for you. They will fight for your Truth! Or will they? Will their hearts be hardened and full of pride? Will they commit suicide because of the shame of being left? I am so in love with you and I am still selfish. I want you now, even before your appointed time. Forgive me Father for my impatience. Forgive me for placing myself above those who are still at this moment coming to you. Give me your patience. Give me your endurance. Help me every day to reach out to the lost. Come, Lord Jesus, Come!

But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. – 1 Timothy 1:16

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. – 2 Peter 3:9

But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. – Psalm 86:15
