2 Corinthians 7:10a
“For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret,”
One of my deepest desires is to strive to heap less condemnation on the cross. I realize Christ died once and for all for all my sins past and future, but when I think about my sin it grieves me to know that I have weighted down Christ even more. Even the smallest sin is more to him. I long for deeper sanctification. I long to be complete and be home with the Father, my Father, the one whom I fear and love and honor and long with everything of my being to hear say “Well done!” So that is my godly grief, that I sin no more and do not cause any more grief for His Son, my Savior Jesus Christ.
